Katherine is a lecturer and researcher at Stellenbosch University, where she currently teaches criminal procedure and criminal justice in action. She recently submitted her doctoral dissertation in private law, examining the role mediation can play in addressing domestic violence in South Africa.
Katherine holds a BA in Humanities, as well as postgraduate LLB and LLM degrees in International Trade Law, through which she gained exposure to international commercial arbitration, investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS), and sustainable development law. She is an admitted attorney with a background in civil and criminal litigation, bringing strong practical grounding to her academic focus on criminal justice and dispute resolution.
